Cultivating Leadership (In association with Action Days Ltd)

The transition to man management is highly challenging. This course will give new managers the tools to make this transition as smooth as possible and existing managers new techniques for improving team performance. You will learn how the members of your team have different goals, drivers and ways of communicating. By understanding better how to motivate your team members as a manager, you will be able to achieve a high performance team to meet or even surpass your organisations standards and expectations. Meritas Consulting's Management Development Course will enable new and existing managers to successfully:

Identify the characteristics of a high performance team
Adapt their natural style to improve overall team performance
Motivate a team to rise to fresh challenges and tougher targets
Improve team's productivity through a sense of common purpose
Harness the benefits of productive conflict and healthy debate
Assess and improve team morale and motivation through communication skills

Learning Methods

The course duration is two days. Consisting of:

Pre-course objective setting and prep
Day 1- highly participative, interactive classroom learning
Day 2- practical outdoor team challenges to give delegates the opportunity to reinforce learning. Team activities include raft building; tank driving, paint balling and treasure hunts. (Click on activities to reveal more detail-Sonia hopefully this can link to your existing info)
Day 2-Review of achievements against objectives, using video analysis of day's activities. Setting of Post course objectives.
Post course objectives will be monitored by e learning and where appropriate ongoing objectives set. This reinforces learning and enables the application of management skills in each delegate?s specific environment.
